Wednesday Night Gaming: Happy Holidays!

The holidays have got me a little busy, so instead of my normal post, I now present you with some holiday gaming suggestions!

The Resistance: Tired of crowded family holidays? Then go ahead and bust this one out. Not only does does this exciting twist on the classic Mafia allow up to 10 players, but I promise that, by the end, you will have guaranteed that your next family gathering will be a lot smaller. If fantasy is more your thing, then you can try out Resistance Avalon.

Game of Thrones: Speaking of fantasy. Game of Thrones is a game of clever diplomacy and ruthless betrayals, ideal for the season of love and sharing. Secure alliances with gifts, then secure those gifts by putting your former ally to the sword once they’ve outlived their usefulness!

Shadows Over Camelot: Okay. Okay. You want something a little more cooperative. That’s fine. I can do that. Shadows Over Camelot will see you and your loved ones fighting to save Camelot. You will work together, facing deadly threats. Yes. You’ll do it together. Unless one of you is the traitor, then they will be working to subvert your entire cause, leading to a downward spiral of accusations, selfish choices, and the fall of a kingdom!

…you know. There may be a reason my family doesn’t get together too often…

Knife fights are the gifts that keep on giving, far more decisive and over much faster. They only fester if you don’t get them treated properly either. Also free knife!

Lack of festering is a serious downside, though. Besides, emotional pain lasts much longer.
